Mr.Bricolage opens its second store in Serbia - 08/07/2010

mr-bricolage-ouverture-magasin-serbie-novisadThe international expansion of Mr.Bricolage continues with the opening of a second store in the Serbian town of Novi Sad.

The Mr.Bricolage group has recently opened its second store in Novi Sad, in the north of Serbia, via its Bulgarian partner, Doverie Brico. This is the second largest town in the country after Belgrade. Novi Sad is a leading economic and financial hub with an urban area home to more than 3,000,000 inhabitants. It is also the historical capital of the Serbian culture.

The Mr.Bricolage group is one of the first to open a store in this country. The Mr.Bricolage store is located in a shopping centre in the town centre. The store has a surface area of 2,400 m² led by a team of 35. Its product range includes over 20,000 articles for the home and garden, broken down by sector. Many services are offered, such as wood cutting, customised paint colours, key copying and delivery.

The store was officially opened in the presence of Jean-François Boucher, Chairman of the Mr.Bricolage group. The French ambassador in Serbia, Jean-François Terral, was present at this opening (read the article on the web site of the French embassy in Serbia). Jean-François Boucher took advantage of his trip to the country to visit the first store which opened last December in the town of Nis, to the south east of Serbia.

The new Mr.Bricolage store opened on Thursday 18 March in Iasi, in Romania. Iasi is a town located in the north east of Moldavia in Romania.

This event beat all forecasts with crowds of customers travelling to the store to take advantage of the special offers at the opening. Some customers even waited more than 3 hours to enter the store.

Mr.Bricolage expands at Libramont in Belgium - 02/02/2010

Early march, Mr.Bricolage will open its new premises in Libramont.This site is located to the south of Namur, in the extreme south of Belgium, near to Luxembourg and the town of Sedan in France.

This store will comprise 1800 m² of indoor surface area and 315 m² of outdoor area. The architecture of the building is innovative, and strongly inspired by contemporary architecture. Wood is a dominant feature.

Indoor finishes are currently being added to the sales outlet. Furniture and fittings are currently being set up. Products will shortly be available on the shelves to ensure everything is ready for the opening.

Opening of the first Mr.Bricolage store in Serbia - 08/12/2009

mr-bricolage-serbie-nish-ouverture-otvaranje-2The opening of the first large DIY superstore in Serbia is planned for 15:00 today and is awaited with bated breath by 1500 Facebook fans (*). The store is located 15 boulevard Medijana in Nish (town in south Serbia).

A surface area of 5,800 m² houses a range of 40,000 DIY articles, decorative items, indoor and outdoor furnishing, materials and gardening products, all accessible to the inhabitants of Nish and the surrounding area. Easy to access, the store car park has room for 180 vehicles.

The 55 members of personnel of the sales outlet are ready to welcome, advise and serve their customers. The store is open daily from 8:30 to 21:00, from Monday to Saturday and from 9:00 to 21:00 on Sundays.

The Mr.Bricolage group also plans to open 4 other stores in Serbia in coming years.

Mr.Bricolage prepares to open a store in Serbia: D-5! - 03/12/2009

The final preparations for the opening of the first Mr.Bricolage store took place in Nish, a town to the south of Serbia. The official opening date is posted on the store: 8 December at 15:00.

The team of 55 individuals is overseeing the final details and completing procurement for the store, ready to welcome its first customers on the opening day.

This opening is expected to be successful if the enthusiasm shown on the Serbian Facebook page is anything to go by (http://www.facebook.com/MrBricolage). It is true that a surface area of almost 6,000 m² dedicated to DIY, decorations, and home and garden furnishings, is a one-off in Serbia.

Serbia: construction of the Mr.Bricolage store - 19/10/2009

Le futur magasin Mr.Bricolage de Nish, une ville du sud de la Serbie, ouvrira en décembre. Dès à présent, les travaux de second œuvre entrent dans leur phase finale.
A l’extérieur, l’aménagement du parking de 180 places est achevé.
L’agencement intérieur du magasin débutera prochainement avec l’installation du mobilier, des racks et des gondoles. L’approvisionnement des rayons en produits suivra aussitôt, afin que tout le magasin soit prêt pour son ouverture en décembre.

The inside of the store will be fitted out in the near future with the installation of furniture, racks and shelving. The shelves will be filled with products as soon as the indoor furnishings are fitted, to ensure that the entire store is ready for opening in December 2009.

Uruguay: renovation of Mr.Bricolage stores - 24/09/2009

After several years of operation, the two Mr.Bricolage stores in Uruguay needed a bit of a makeover. This renovation process is now underway and the stores in Montevideo shopping and Portones will soon reveal their new look.

According to Sonia Alvarez, manager of the two stores (photo opposite): “We are working on displays to improve the visibility of our products and better define product family environments in our stores.”

Personnel from the two stores, assisted by a specialist in international merchandising, generally based at the head office in France, all participated in this “makeover”. Again, according to Sonia Alvarez, “Every single participant contributed his or her ideas and opinions in their own sectors. After two weeks of work, everything was ready.”

Le gros œuvre est bien avancé et le chantier se poursuit. La pose de la couverture et du bardage sont en cours et la phase des travaux de second œuvre pourra bientôt commencer.
Ce premier magasin de 5 800 m² de surface couverte doit être inauguré à la fin de l’année.

Mr.Bricolage opens a store in Papeete (Tahiti) - 29/07/2009

Until recently, Mr.Bricolage held stores in almost all French overseas departments and territories, with one exception: Tahiti. The banner is opening up shop in Papeete today, with 1,785 m² of indoor surface area. A new range of DIY, gardening, decoration and home furnishing products which is expected to delight the Polynesians.
