The Mr.Bricolage group participated at the Salon Emploi Seniors (Employment fair for senior citizens) 15 December at the Conference Centre in Orléans. This initial fair was organised by theJunior Economic Chamber of Loiret and was supported byTwideco, the leading regional economic web TV channel.
A round table ended the day. Lucie Brasseur, founder of Twideco, led the debate shown live on the web TV channel. Participants were able to ask several questions on the issue of the employment of senior citizens.
Jean-Mary Marie, Human Resources director for the Mr.Bricolage group, described the initiatives taken and the 4 lines of group policy for senior citizens:
- social integration with 10% of recruitment assigned to senior citizens
- development of skills to encourage access to training, the assessment of current skills, VAE (Recognition of past experience) and individual training rights.
- improvements to working conditions and the organisation of work in coordination with social partners (Works council, Personnel representatives and the health, safety and working conditions committee).
- development of solidarity between the different generations to promote the transmission of knowledge.
Changes to the age pyramid make it essential to continue with company careers. The policies of companies such as Mr.Bricolage integrate this new situation.
