Le manadier (Bull breeder) - Acrylic painting 70x50 by Bruno Lemasson

The store in Lunel (Hérault), located between Montpellier and Nimes, sets the stage for regional painters to liven up its frame department.

The frames and beaux-arts area of the store regularly displays the works of local artists, specialised in regional aspects (Camargue, bull fighting, horses, L’arlésienne, gypsies, cicadas, olive trees, etc.). The works are available for sale and the store can also frame the paintings.

Régine Cerda is just one of the artists on display, and specialises in charcoal, red chalk and pastel drawings, and we could also mention the painter, Bruno Lemasson. Bruno Lemasson was present in the store to talk to customers on 21 August this summer. A new event is being organised for 18 September 2010. These events allow store customers to meet with the artists, discuss their work and often to even see them creating a new masterpiece before their very eyes.

Another artist, another theme, the Lunel store hosted the artist from Montpellier, Ouzin, the hot man for hot colours. Ouzin M’Boup, his real name, combines several influences in a very contemporary style: art deco, modern art and African art, taking his inspiration from his African roots. Ouzin participates in many live-painting sessions, creating his works before the eyes of the public. His paintings can be purchased from his on-line web site: www.bellescouleurs.com.

Gignac (Hérault): a brand new Mr.Bricolage store - 01/04/2010

mr-bricolage-renovation-magasin-gignac-herault-mars-2010The Mr.Bricolage store in Gignac has recently finished painting its external walls. The former store has been entirely repainted and can now boast some bright new colours.

The inside has been completely renovated. While the surface area of 918 m² has not changed, customers will have difficulty recognising their old sales outlet. All fittings and shelving have been moved, the alleys have been widened and larger podium areas have been arranged.

Customers will find the new store spacious and pleasant from the moment they step in the door. Indications and signs have been improved to ensure customers can find the frequently-used products they need rapidly. This makeover proves our active approach for local stores.

A new look for our trucks! - 16/02/2010

 Warning, fresh paint!

Dozens of Mr.Bricolage trucks cross France to deliver materials to around 700 Group sales outlets each day. We decided to decorate our semi-trailers in an original manner! An initial truck recently received a makeover: viewers are under the impression that the truck is carrying giant paint pots.

The truck is surprising, and catches the attention of passers-by and car drivers on the motorway !

This initial “life size” test may well be the first of a series of different models.

To be continued…
