Mr.Bricolage: 4 new stores and one extension - 29/06/2010

groupe-mr-bricolage-magasin-le puy-brives charensac-2010Mr.Bricolage has extended its sales space with the extension of one store and 4 new sales outlets. The five operations represent total additional sales space exceeding 6,200 m² for the store.

The store in Brives Charensac, located in the suburb of Puy en Velay (43), has recently extended its sales space. The store moved just a few metres down the road on this occasion. Indoor surface area increased from 2,800 m² to more than 4,500 m². Outdoor surface area was extended from 200 to more than 1,200 m². This extension provides more room for product display. New products mainly focus on furnishing (cupboards, bathroom fittings, etc.) and decorations, two very popular segments.

The store has adopted an unusual black façade (see photo above). This colour was selected to discretely fit into the protected site (see the web site of the Tourist Office of Puy en Velay), near to the Saint–Michel d’Aiguilhe chapel and Puy en Velay cathedral (UNESCO world heritage). An area of 35 hectares around the “haute ville” is classified as protected.

4 stores change name

The Mr.Bricolage group has recently gained ground with the integration of four new stores: Dinard (22), Nangis (77), Villers Cotterets (02) et Quillan (11). While the first three stores were originally part of the group (2 Catena and one Briconautes stores), the third was acquired from a rival store (Weldom).

A very decorations-based store in Landivisiau - 03/06/2010

mr-bricolage-29-landivisiau-bricolage-2010Mr.Bricolage store in Landivisiau has left boulevard de la République and moved into the Vern area, route de Roscoff. With this move, the store has extended to reach 2651 m² of indoor sales surface area and 961 m² of outdoor surface area, as compared with 1518 and 282 m² respectively at the old address.

The sales outlet is now organised around project poles such as the bathroom, the dressing room, decoration and beaux arts. These poles are all placed in ambient settings with many displays of the various possible layouts. A very “deco” style is guaranteed throughout the decoration department (blinds, curtains, wall paper, paint, cushions, etc.).

The indispensable technical range available in any DIY store is clearly present, and DIY fans will find their favourite departments: hardware, tools, electricity, wood and materials, not forgetting the garden.

This is clearly a very decorations-based store, which will delight the inhabitants in part of the north of Finistère and encourage home decoration and furnishing ideas.

The Mr.Bricolage store in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie in Vendée took advantage of its transfer and extension process to adopt the technologies of the 21st century: electronic shelf labels and photovoltaic panels on the roof.

Customers of the store in Saint-Gilles Croix de Vie were recently able to open a brand new store. This new store was expected with bated breath and the car park was full to bursting from the opening at 9 a.m. (see photo opposite). The store has simply moved 500 metres down the road , opposite the just as brand new E.Leclerc hypermarket , due to open in a few weeks.

The store now has an indoor surface area of almost 3,000 m² and an adjacent materials area of 1,500 m² accessible with a vehicle.

The store runs with the times and the building will generate electricity thanks to the photovolatic panels on the roof.

Finally, the store is the first Group store to adopt electronic shelf labels. This system enables the rapid updating of prices and ensures that the price displayed matches the price at the till.
